How can I tell if they the company I am buying a domain from is accredited?

All accredited registrars, that I’ve found, have either an ICANN link on their site or have a direct way for you to update your ICANN information from their website. For instance, we (PerformanceHost.net) send out an email at the end of the year – once a year you have to update your contact information with ICANN – with an ICANN Domain Information Key, so you can easily update your contact information if need be.
